The Lake of Koman is formed by the basin of the river Drin, in which the central hydro is also set up of Koman. The lake has a surface area of 12 km2, a length of 34.5 km and a width of 50-60 km. Around the lake are high wooded mountains at an altitude of 1000-1200 meters above sea level. The ferry trip to Koman on the route Koman – Fierze is a unique experience that can be lived only in northern Albania. Travelling by ferry through the artificial lake created for the construction of the hydroelectric power plants, will give you a splendid view of a precious piece of the mosaic of Albanian naturalistic tourism.
