Tanner’s Bridge is an 18th century stone footbridge from the Ottoman period. It was built over the Lana river to link Tirana with the eastern highlands. The Lana was diverted in the 1930s and the bridge fell out of use and was neglected but in the 1990s it was restored to its former glory and is now pedestrian only.
