The building to be  must-see Gjirokaster is undoubtedly the Zekate House, a majestic three-storey house with three flors and twin towers and a double arch facade. This charming building, with beautiful interiors, corridors and halls, dates back to 1800 and is one of the most fascinating examples of an Ottoman period house in the Balkan peninsula. A special feature of the house are the carved wooden ceilings and the characteristic guest room. From the wooden balcony on the third floor, you can enjoy an impressive view of Gjirokastra.
